Still a great and unique game! I know the original very well and there is room for improvement for better mobile experience. (1) The player should be able to pause the game to give units orders. It is quite difficult to guickly navigate the map, group units and send them off to their target on a mobile phone. (2) Zoom adjustment or at least have the standard view zoomed out a small bit. (3) The AI gets stuck on obstacles more than I remember from PC.
One of my all time favs. This is a great game, im so glad its in the play store. Bring back more old school games !!
Why you need permission for Device ID and call information? why?! do you call home it's so on who calls me?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... add more levels and content, this is game is so good i love it, i played this when i was 6, and was terrible, could never win a single level... since then i always remembered the game as the one game i couldnt play, i'm 29 now i think it's hilarious it stayed in my memory for that long, so i checked app store for a laugh and omg it's there, completed it easily, would love more contentttttt
Downloaded latest. Still crashes, does not restart game in latest time. forced to play level again and again unable to get past this crash level.
Loved this game as a kid, many an hour spent trying to beat the levels, just the same as the original
A unique achievement with simple, effective controls and hugely enjoyable gameplay. One of those few games that transfers to a phone platform and is just as good as the original was on ms dos
Unfortunately it doesn't work on OnePlus 5T. Cutscene is very grainy and then the main menu freezes and doesnt allow input.
Just reloaded 2019 on new samsug tablet and program is definatley not working correctly.. all over the shot.. strange whats happened? no updates so why. 2017..I remember this from my youth... yes I was young once.. it actually had This game is the best... VERY funny SIMPLE idea at times really hard BUT all round fun.. you can change Strategies every time you play.. on a phone it's hard as screen to small.. its better on a tablet.. but wish more games were like this... BRILLIANT ... Go Z Go..
Way too excited that this game has come out for Android. Some minor improvements can be made but overall worth it.
cool game. made me look back to my youth again :-) Recommend! plays ok on a big screen though. not suited to 5.2 and below in my opinion
I remember i had the demo for this on ps1 when i was a kid i cant believe i found the actual game i love it!!! Really nice to see this on android thank you so much developers :) :) :)
I love the game, as a long time fan and owner of the original copy i am glad to see such a well done coppy of this game. It is a little easier then the original maby due to the mobile phone limits wich takes away the hard difficulty levels of the game. Allso the path finding may need a little tweek. Other then that the over all game play is awesome and it is really awesome to see the videos agane, have not seen them in over a decade. The developers of this mobile friendly app should be proud of this app.
The game looks and sounds just the way I remember it from the original. Have it 4 stars because the game is still jerky and not especially smooth so it looks like it was not optimised for Android. Also, as mentioned by others, the screen is zoomed in too much meaning it's difficult to scroll around and also to select units.
This game is a great time killer. It also has a hard difficulty level so you can replay at different skill levels.
I played this on ps1 I spent years looking for it ,it's perfect just one thing don't work right! I don't no who to contact to fix it !can anyone help ?my tuffs won't go in apc then apc is unable
Redownloaded onto my Samsung galaxy A36 it crashes allot and the controls are really small and precise very hard to properly hit the right part of the screen to issue the correct command or select the desired option.
OMG I have the cd-rom of this played it all the time... never have beat the damn game lol. You made this so much easier.... it's hard as hell to get games like this to play on new machines..
I've been trying to get my old copy to work on my computer. Then I found out it was in the app store! Im happier than I pig in mud right now. Thanks for providing me with a dose of nostalgia.
I used to play this game as a child brings back many good memory's sitting for hours apon hours in front off a PC screen wish they done more off the old games here if u like this 1 daenload z steel soldiers even better
The game currently suffers from one massively annoying issue, one member of the robot squads will not fight instead running toward the enemy as if move command was given instead of an attack. This is a huge problem when using snipers and toughs. The former unable to take advantage of their range, and the latter is only a two man team which drops their firepower by 50%. Otherwise a decent recreation of the original, will give five stars if ever fixed.
Impressive, i've just updated my TF300 to Jellybean today through OTA and the game has been running perfectly and zero crashes, on ICS 4.0.3 i could play just a few minutes or not play at all, this issue is completely gone now. Z is a must have for any RTS fan that wants to go back to its roots, i can only hope of having C&C and other great classics ported to Android.
I was a die hard z fan on pc and while I love this mobile version and definitely recommend it to anyone I have noticed some areas for improvement. First and foremost, some multi-player would be unreal. Secondly, there's at least one cut scene not included since we always see the same one after mission failure. Thirdly, the AI seems to be slightly dumber than what I remember on pc. Not a problem except that the computer player can't re-route their units once meeting a broken bridge.
the game is still alot of fun, very basic and relatively simple controls. An excellent strategy game where u can blow some time when your bored/waiting. Im giving it 4 star purely because of its 372mb size, properly optimized it would be 50mb ish. Also its very zoomed in, making units hard to keep track of and alot of scrolling(my phones a CATS50).
