Definitely pay to play. Similar games do have better packages in their in-game store that don't cost as much real currency. Premium in-game currency should be easier to obtain, but it isn't.

Used to be a good and fun game, now its pay to play. New players will need big wallets in order to play competitively. Game has become full of glitches with every new update, devs are quick to dismiss legitimate concerns by closing tickets without resolving issues. Look at all the reviews referencing banned bases, you'll see their actions, they just copy and paste information. I'm not a banned base but I see how the devs punish individuals when the glitches are in the player's favor. STAY AWAY

Love it so far, but it has some bugs, issues, and lag time issues. I'm on my third day of protection, so I will have to join an alliance soon. I've played these top games before, and you cannot progressed very well without joining an alliance. I'm okay with that. graphics are smooth and clear. Researching and building could be a little but faster. Training could be faster or more troops in the amount it takes. The events could be better, I feel I do alot and not alot of progress is made or I don't complete. An Idea that could make the game better is more monster techs and farm tiles. Game won't open on 2 of my devices, one running Android 5.1 (Verizon Ellipses tablet QTAQZ3) and one phone running 9.1 (ZTE Z3351S) only works on 1 device. That device is a Walmart ONN tablet with 9.1 and the charging port is shot so I guess I can't play anymore. Too bad, logged in 400+ days in a row. The devices it doesn't work on gets to about 30% on loading screen and shuts down. Needs to be consistent on all devices.

DO NOT PLAY. They recently banned several players for alleged rule violations that are, at best, questionable. These lost accounts represent significant financial investments to some if not all of those effected. I wouldn't even get started on this game, the players have had enough and that will probably spell the end of this game anyway. STAY AWAY FROM EREPUBLIK!

It's almost impossible to grow pass beyond fort 21 without dropping real money. I will not spend hundreds of dollars again so it getting boring. I'm just going to concentrate in my other games thst I get stronger without the mo ey situation.

It is very fun. surprisingly easy, and overall a little hard to stop playing. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars, is it needs a better in depth Tutorial & it is pay to win to some extent. However it is not super overwhelming.

This game is alright. Has alot of problems. The biggest one is that they like to maintenance on the servers with out warning people or sending out a message to everyone warning them to have your shields up. With would have been nice. Because my shield came off while in maintenance and I couldn't get on and when it finally came back online I was attacked because I was in bed sleeping. And I lost 5.5m troops and 5billion in rss and it took me months to save that up for the t5 update.

Since last update you can't compete. If you have over 5million troops. Food goes very quick in your fort. For doing techs and forts can't heal unless you have a lot of food in storage.

the developer's of the game have become greedy. the only way to really level up now is paying with real money. for noob or early stage learners, you won't be able to defend off bigger players now. sheilds that once hlelped are becoming now difficult to obtain again for noob and low level players

Level 40 wiped me out at level 10 because you can't shield unless you spend a ton of money , be prepared to spend money or get wiped out quickly by a way bigger player that does spend money , stay away from this game . Developer says gold is free , i found very little free gold , and certainly not enough to shieled up .

6/27 Update: Yes, still having issues.All Speedup timers down for 7 weeks. Half a mil troops lost due to pack screen hangup glitches since I first started playing. Also missing half of the daily login rewards-watch ad for double rewards-because video ads would not open or run properly.Now can't log into game at all tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and updating. Fix the glitches & reimburse $,other losses & I'll upgrade my review.Was able to finally log in this am,Now cannot.

Game makers cheat you and extort you for money you will like the game even tho it is glitchy and buy packs then after awhile they will randomly pick big players and ban them then when you mail and ask why. Typical build your town and attack your neighbors strategy game. As I Civil War buff, i really do like the civil war theme. Hoping there are actual Civil War battle re-enactments in the future of this game. definitely would be interesting to play through the wars end if Lee had won at Gettysburg

Loved this game for a long time but now that alot of ppl have dropped the game im stuck in a state where theres not many players and my level is too high to transport to a diff state where i can join an alliance and its very upsetting plz fix so that we dont have to make a new profile and lose everything

This game works fine for me except sometimes game freezes. I havent spent any dollar yet in this game and still managed to get to level 20 in a decent time. You need to find a good alliance to get the reources help which is vital to stay ahead. Also try to place in top 100 in commander and state events to get golds. I am in state 10 and won 4 consecutive State vs State Kill events which really helped me a lot by gathering free golds from gold mines. I will give a 5 star to the game

Good game and getting better. Developers listen to feedback and keep making improvements which give this 5 stars by itself! One major frustration is that it's nearly impossible to compete in events if you're in a new State because you compete for the top spots with older States who are exponentially more powerful. Events should be tiered and tied to each State individually so that it gives everyone a chance to compete.

really loved this game, only mobile game i've played and will keep playing 30 days in. Players make the game, the reality is in some states, experienced players come to the new states n know every trick n purchases in the book to get ahead, and never let go since. The new players have no room to grow because they're picked off. when theres gold mine, they're not even bothering with collection. They'd rush off lvl 1-4 mines easy enough w sheer numbers, troops and resources like teleport n speed marches and camp around level 5-6 forever just to kill people off with lower power that need to grow at least a bit to truly enjoy the game. The state is basically only 1 alliance playing everyone else. At this pace new players either have to pay a fortune, and/or wait for YEARS to at least be competitive. My suggestion to really make this competitive is a tier system - when bigger player hit below a certain power of their own rank, they get at least some form of penalty or power/gravitas deficit. This can be balanced by hitting players higher stats then you and u increase. This way its not only more competitive, it will also add another dimension of strategic planning.

The game is dying. If you join you will have fun for a couple of weeks. However you will soon realize that there is no way to get base in fighting shape without spending a lot of money because of recent developer changes for them to make more money. So in about a month you will quit and be disappointed. The problem is that it is too difficult because of rank points to build a base. So since there are no targets noone fights. Don't start playing this game.

Very slow progress at the starting level. Training, research and upgrades take way too long for starting levels. Made it to lvl 5 with everything and ready to Uninstall. Very slow and boring. Tried to change states at level 3 to join an alliance that I liked but couldn't move or even figure out how to move. Shields go down before they expire a but devs say you didn't have what you said. Have lost 100's of millions in rss and none reimbursed because they don't agree with you. Updates suck as they take away certain valuable items. In all they are only interested in how much you pay to play. Now they have upgraded the game again but only favouring those that spend a lot of money

I have played this game for less than 30 days, spent almost $500usd. There's a Algorithm that DEPLETES FOOD RESOURCES. My Daily Food Depletion Rate is 37 million. With the Food Depletion Resources Algorithm you either have to gather almost 24/7 or purchase more. The Algorithm also makes your Farms Stop Producing Food Resources. I have been emailing Customer Service now for several weeks with no result. I'm asking for a Refund. I don't recommend this Game to anyone.

Okay so this is pretty much the same as thousand other versions but with a civil war theme. It takes an hour to build an infantry unit and days to upgrade your facilities. Unless you spend money to increase the speed of these activities you'll never be competitive... If you like that kind of game then here's one with a civil war theme otherwise it's really no different...

It's a good game but can be frustrating when people who have more advancement can attack any lower than them no matter there advancement. Also alliance members don't always help each other I and other players wish it didn't take multiple days to upgrade buildings and gain troops., Hard to recover when larger players destroy you.

developers need to work on the glitches in the shields department. I have been hit several times in my other forts with 8 and 24 hr shields, only to hear back that I didnt have what was said. Many people in my alliance have been cut short on there timers. I've spent alot of my money in this game to recover my losses. Please fix these issues, or at least admit when there has been a problem. I for one am done with spending big dollar amounts to recover when there clearly has been an ongoing issue .

more strategy , I'm forced to attack only certain enemies and March right through union bases. " just a little dry that's all, but still a fun little game. Also I maybe a little more engagement with building your army.

Like many similar games it uses in game purchases, however the major difference is the fact that the free to play side, albet slower in the growth time of your fort, is a feasable option. however if you choose to buy packs to speed up your growth and power, there are many different packs to suit anyones budget. Its an all right city builder were you can easily get power buy training a load of troops fairly easily. But lacks a bit of polish were as i am in confederate yet people on town are all union wearing mofos...thats the kind of polish this game lacks...utherwise its a great city builder good for a few hours and then put aside wait for your stuff to build and go on

I read some of the reviews and I was worried, but I gave the game a shot, and I was pleasantly surprised! The tutorial was short but in depth and thought you the basics, and it's really giving to new players who got the game. But the reason I rate 4 stars is because the tutorial leaves some things unclear and gives a lot of questions. And the constant popups telling you to buy stuff are annoying. But if these things were fixed then I would happily rate five stars!

Well just did the new improvement update for android and it won't let me get past the load screen. So much for clearing this current event and getting a heads up on the upcoming all state event. Easy to learn and upgrade only problem is I got completely wiped out by a player 12 levels higher than me my power was at 18,000 and someone with nearly 2,000,000 power came and killed the whole neighborhood , please put a limit to how weak someone is to avoid new players getting wrecked and losing interest , I can't heal , I can't train on time I just lost everything very frustrating.

Make sure you are in a fair state or you could find yourself living constantly under a bubble. New players will find it difficult to compete. Continually buying shields with your gold stops you from using the gold on other things that would help you grow. It would help if the developers helped by making it impossible for a 5 million powered player or bigger too attack a 3 million player in open play , Events should be every man / Woman for himself / herself.

Pretty fun game. Especially the whole alliance skill tree. The game can be pay to win but I haven't encountered any problems without paying. Definitely give it a try and join the Yankee Doodle alliance if you can :P

Not only is this game unoriginal, it is unplayable on my S8. I was on step 3 of setting up. I 1) captured a fort 2) built a farm. Step 3 is build a barracks but the pointer is pointing somewhere offscreen. I cannot get to that place because the advisor doesn't go away once I click on him as he is supposed to so I cannot move the camera to where the building site is.

i think that you should maybe add a first person mode and make it compatible for pc too. first person mode kind of like Nobleman 1896 where its strategy and mobile. If you do add it pls make a musket and other guns. Even though guns like musket and cannons reload slow add it to make it more realistic

Fun to play, lots to learn, hopefully the latest update will fix the various bugs, such as freezing, lagging, and technical errors. I wish the game wasn't an addictive trigger spending platform. Gold is used up too quick in comparison to need. In other words, this game has an extremely high cost of living! Considering the harsh times some may be going through, it would be better, or at least more reasonable, if they lowered prices. Then again, F it, it's 2020, we can all crash and burn.

This is a pay to win game, and honestly it is very well done. I am really enjoying the Civil War Theme and if you don't mind spending 4.99 in the beginning, this game is for you!

This game can be really fun if you have the patience. focus on upgrading(farms, lumber, iron, cotton.)

Fun game. It does look like it could be geared towards big spenders. That is not for me but I will monitor that and let you know. A lot of things to do and keep you busy. Clean interface and not clunky.

It has the same model design as other games, however, the developers have obviously listened to the players and made it more user friendly. I would suggest you try it out, I have been playing for 24vhrs and like it. Slow paced, so dont expect things to happen instantly without a credit card. Give it a try.

Basically Guns of Glory Civil War Theme but not even as good. Like this class of game, slow and somewhat boring strategy game unless you pay a lot to develop your game play to be competitive with other pay players.

I do love this game very very very much Here is three reasons why 1. This game is so accurate from the yearsof the American civil war I love all the people in it and it's very detailed 2. This game is a lot better than the other game I used to play called North vs. South as that game was animated and this is not this is based on real life events 3. There is not much fictional stuff as there is non-fictional there is so much non-fictional stuff that I love this game so much

very boring game, you wait to train soldiers, you wait to build buildings, you wait to march to locations... and you don't actually DO any of the attacks, it just takes 30 mins to march each direction and then your soldiers sit on the location "gathering resources". of course you can pay to speed things up but I can't understand why someone would if you can't even play out the attacks.

The game can be a fun civilization builder until you run afoul of cliquish gamers who get upset and try to force you out for mining the wrong resource. I was repeatedly attacked by an alliance for attempting to build up resources. This is not for casual gamers.

V e ry good fun game. As l9ng as you dont have to deal with the developers when the game screws up. They blame their game screwing up on the players constantly. Nothing is ever WAP's fault. Just dont wxpect much help from the developers.....

I've been playing this game for a little over 90 days and I can tell you that if you are looking for a game that will not drain your wallet or your time, you've come to the wrong place. in order to stay competitive you have to do one of two things, spend a lot of time earning gold (which gets used very fast because of the high cost of everything in the game) or spend money. if you make suggestions to the game makers your response will always be, "because of the integrity of the game.

Do not recommend playing or spending money on this game you will get stuck on the login screen and if during that time if that happens you get hit and lose what you have the ones that created the game will call you a liar they will not do right by you it is a waste of time & money

This is a fun game & great way to kill time but it needs updates. Once you max out your research & buildings all you can do is grow troops. Wish there were higher level forts & new research to keep growing.

Do not play this game. it is a rip off ! You will never reach the level needed to play without a bunch of money. sorry i even tried. zero return on investment. Its an ok game. Lots of glitches though. Much better since the bugs are being addressed.

i love this game n play it every day. the only beef that i have with it is the fact that in order to get all buildings past level 20 (except fortifications which after level 31 u need yhe war bonds)is that it calls for war bonds. 1000 gold pieces fof just 1 war bond? that to me is very shady. i could see 100 gold at the most. i do understand that real money is all yall care about. and thats cool. im not hatin, stack ur bread. ive spent alot of dollars already.

Gamea turned into a joke ticket after ticket on same issues even after updates that it was "fixed" with video and screenshots devs just ignore me time and time again. Spent way to much money for the game to still be screwed up this bad. Pretty sure a 5 year old could make a more reliable game these days. Also thr prision camp is a rip off not worth it cheaper to replace troops than to try and get them back. Should of changed my review a year ago

The game crashes often or it boots you off. I have been trying for an hour to log on. My shield drops shortly and I will be zeroed by other alliances. This is unacceptable.

There are many glitches in this game, such as tech glitches, stamina glitches and gold glitches, And yet they pick and choose who they ban for what lots of times. many times you get banned for apparently using third party app, but it tells you that if you have trouble logging in to use an emulator which is a third party app. y'all should either ban no one or only ban the guilty ones, you can't expect to be able to play and buy packs when you are afraid that ur account will be banned for nothing

Enjoying it. You should get someone to play the game that has no experience. And any question they ask you, should be answered somewhere in game, either by pop up or help window. Literally have to ask every question in chat and just hope someone knows the answer.

Pay to play game. if you are will to put money in it you can upgrade fast. Seems impossible to upgrade Generals without paying for it.

I give the game 0 stars because i had to install the game 3 times and i still cant get past the beginning finally got the game to work after downloading it 5 times. I play for about an hour and was kicked off the game 10 times . so im done with the game

I give it 4 out of 5 stars cause the only thing it's missing is being able to control the battles. other than that it's awesome. way better and more historically designed for true civil war fans.

Graphics are good. Game is confusing to figure out and understand. No tutorials for those just getting started. The gameplay is mind numbing and not very interesting. No idea what you are attempting to achieve in the first month of play. Needs better guidance for newbies.

Great game I wish there was a way for you to look at your clan members fort so you can help them better . Also wished there was a private chat or way to message only your officer's at same time

the constant updates, pop-up ads, glitches, gradual development into a pay to play game is disappointing. But it is STILL a GREAT game.

My game started lagging and then crashing after about 6 weeks into playing. I couldn't access my game, so I was constantly attacked and lost soooo much power. That was extremely disappointing so I'm done. Loved the game until then.

seems like any other game just like it which there are thousands. but yet it might be different.. at least the advertising relates to what the game is about. it wasn't like the Mayflower came over and found an empty country and discovered Indians and all that stuff. then they find gold and build houses and like every other game. well it was advertised properly so I guess it is what it is maybe that's good

You can't hardly do much while waiting for the popups to disappear when you have cashed missions or gifts. IT REALLY SUCKS! they either need to allow you to turn device SALT off or make it click through. VERY EASY TO DO but these foreign programmers JUST DON'T CARE!

Fun. constantly something to do. Only thing I don't like is when a hi power player hits and keeps hitting lower powered players till they quit the game entirely.

It is a very good game, build and play as most are now. It lags sometimes but could be on my end. I recommend it, especially if you are a civil war buff.

A great game! I do wish they actually showed the battles you do, but it definitely is fun to grow your power and become a dominant force. Also, I do wish there was actually a storyline or something, that way you are not aimlessly battling. Overall, it is fun, but it has so much potential for the creators to tap into.

doesn't matter what level you are, you can attack any level player. sad lower level players can't progress because of this.

Dont bother, unless you want to spend real money. High level players wipe you out and farm you, so you don't stand a chance.

Tough to praise this game to new players. In the past, you were rewarded for a multitude of actions that would reward gold, which is the only way to keep shielded if you don't want to spend actual cash. Now it's reduced to hitting tech monsters or spending hours on an event for gold. So don't plan on having a farm to supplement a fort, as you won't be able to shield it. So the game's fun; way less enjoyable than it was months ago. And when they update the game, be prepared for glitches galore.

Ok people maybe you should read before making comments I haven't even played the game yet but at least the developer was honest right out of the gate by saying "resources are scarce and take time to collect, so manage them carefully" you people that wrote those review are idiots! graphics are smooth, upgrades are slow, easy to play a bit difficult if you are new to these types of games.

Game gets worse after every update.. Constant glitches n lag.. Use to be fun about a year ago now its designed for pay to play.. anyone starting just know your leadership commander requires Rank points to level him up while the older states they match you against that played before the update did and do not need rank points to lvl there leadership commander up.. not to mention the game favors Defenders so at some point its not even worth attacking or rallying a fort. Game needs alot of work..
