This game helped me get better at shogi than I am at chess. Great for first timers, but the ai has the same reaction every time I rush their left. and an English setting would be nice, but I got used to the menu and play with friends, so I wouldn't say these solutions are mandatory. just nice to have.
First saw this game in an anime called Ranma 1/2 and got curious about it. This is a very good app. Would even be worth 5 stars if I could read the characters/language.
The game is great for begginers but for people who don't know Japanese it is a little bit hard to get started
It sure is good for shogi starters, but it is totally in Japanese. So you might not understand it in the beginning.
I could use instructions on the rules of shogi. I'm figuring it out, but I can't read very well in Japanese. Over all the game design is nice. The game play is challenging. Please add English rules of the game.
I dont understand kanji, so adding an option to add English in there would be nice. Other than it being difficult to learn what the names of the tiles are from just playing, its easy to learn what their movements are. Having a quick tutorial (in more languages than just Japanese) I think more people could be able to learn how to play Shogi.
Great app, but the skill ceiling at lv 3 is quite low for the ai.
Recommended for starters, but it may get too easy (bot opponent) at some
point.
Loved it. Though I agree that it'd be better for it to have an English version or the possibility to change language settings.
Was made pretty nicely but it's entirely in Japanese. So if you don't know Japanese or the rules of shogi, you won't learn enough from this app to get started. I wouldn't call it super beginner friendly even with its piece movement section.
Great if you can read Japanese. If not, kind of look through the getting started section, and click on each piece to figure out how they move. I set the game to true beginner, and it tells me how each peice can move when I click on it. Also the computer plays stupid, so that I win every time. I love it. Again, might be difficult if you don't read any Japanese.
Very nice shogi game.essy and bgm is relaxing. but I need english.because I don't understand some japanese.
This is really good for those who want to learn shogi. Just a little advice, if can add other language will be awesome for those who can't read japanese. Gambateh!
