Had loads of fun with this until it stopped working completely and won't load any maps. Been like this for a while now. Please fix.
I found the tutorial frustrating, being forced to click every single UI element before i can play is tedious. I found having to click the arrows annoying, on some oceania locations i had to hit the buttons dozens of times to even see my first unique landmark. With street click and an optional tutorial this will be awesome.
Achievements do not work. Photographer, good guesser and globetrotter work fine otherwise don't work.
Honestly, if I could rate this lower, I would. Every time I have played the screen eventually goes black with a small portion of the area loaded. If I can't see anything, what is the point of the game? Also, after reading some other reviews, it seems this is a reoccuring problem. I can also say for sure that it is not my internet connection. I love the computer version of this game though!
Incredibly laggy plus it won't even show the map just one second black screen and back to menu. P. S THERE'S NO Bosnia!!! ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ˜ญ
Only opens up 1 location and when I finish, it keeps loading the 2nd location forever. 5 stars when fixed. Edit: I've only tried the world option so far and it actually started working. Maybe it was just the first 10 attempts which had the problem? It's great now.
App works perfectly, with fluid controlls and plenty of variety. only small point is the occasional round where you are placed on a long road in the middle of nowhere, but hey thats part of the game.
Located, random dark bar, no clues, moving just makes bar darker or random hill somewhere god even can't guess. Long and Infinity loading screens.
Nice but please make it easier to search countries in the map; a country search field will make this faster.
Edit: Hey! Never would've thought I'd get a reply this quickly! Had this game, and read your responses to others' reviews for over a year now, and I can understand where you're coming from, with all the stresses that come with hobbyist game-dev, or the technical stuff like Google StreetView API hooks/functionality being insufficient. I know it's been almost 2 years since the last update, but I believe can eventually figure something out! As an aspiring game-dev I'm interestedToSeeWhereThisGoes:)
This is such a fun and awesome game! Wish there were better options for the multiplayer version but I'm really enjoying it nonetheless.
Samsung galaxy 9. Doesn't always load the 5th location meaning you have to quit and lose your progress. Doesn't seem to give random countries on the world option. I've had Jersey so many times, when i think it looks like England i just choose Jersey and get a good score.
Images not loading properly. Dome rounds is nothing but a black screen. Others have blurry images as if the pictures haven't loaded properly.
the interface and the options are nice but 2 things really bugged me - first of all i'm so annoyed by the fact that you can only click the arrows and move forward one step at a time, i would like to see the street-click feature implemented - and second: your compass is kinda useless, the red tip doesn't show north but rather reflects your view, eg: if you're looking west the red tip will turn west and not east as usual
I kept getting locations indoors, like in shopping malls or daycare centers. The street view images also seem lower resolution than typical Google maps.
I like the game a lot, but many things ruin the experience. Sometimes, you could be placed in confined areas where you can only see a couple of locations before being locked in movement. Other times, the map bugs out so you can't guess where you are and it kills your score.
I feel like I always land on the same 4-5 countrys So instead of looking for more clues I just pick countrys I have already been, often with success ๐Ÿคจโ˜น๏ธ
It's a fun game but tuere are flaws with the app. First, if you set the timer to 0 then it should be no timer. instead it gives you 0 seconds to guess. Played till 5 round and started walking around then screen turned black. Attempted to hit the home button, nothing, attempted to hit guess button and it crashed. This must be a difficult game to make into an app. Hats off to the developer cause I'm sure its not easy.
love this wee game. spent a good few hours on it already and only had it a week. yes some of the guesses are near on impossible because you are in the middle of nowhere but the randomness of this game is what makes it so good imo. one thing that would be good though is if the app could detect you closing it to Google street names and stuff to stop people cheating with their guesses as there is loads of people with maximum scores which imo is impossible without google
like it, but it keeps exiting the game on its own. give a completely blank screen and then goes back to the game menu.
Game freeze often during switching to map, more than half locations in the middle of nowhere in walking trail or on roads with nothing for hundreds of miles
it's pretty fun, but crashes every third game. I was hot on a location and it still bugs me that it crashed before I found out where it was.
first game i played, i got placed in the middle of a dessert, at a ferry teminal in the middle of the ocean and then on a boat in the sea, how tf am i meant to know where a boat is meant to be ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚ *facepalm *
Too many small places. I have had two East Timors, two Luxembourgs, two American Samoas, Isle of Man, and Anguilla, but no US, UK, Russia, Canada, Argentina, or Australia. I do want small places, but I want big places too.
I would love it if it were right. Twice now, I have guessed the right location by actual signs and pictures and it has told me that I'm thousands of kilometers away. There's only 1 Niagra Falls...
I paid for the app and multiplayer mode does not work... it kicks me out to the menu, as soon as I choose multiplayer mode
Game 1 - stuck on a rock with nothing but water and other rocks in sight and couldn't move. It happens. Round 2 wouldn't load. Game 2 - stuck on a blurry road that never cleared. Round 2 wouldn't load. Game 3 - moved 1 block at a snail's pace, opened google maps to verify exactly where I was (Lancaster, California). Game said I was wrong and listed correct location in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Round 2 wouldn't load. Uninstalled. Edit: The ocean point was about 500km NE of Puerto Rico.
Works exactly as it should. Only problem I found is I keep getting a lot of locations in the middle of the ocean were you can only move 3 spots instead of on a road.
small recommendation it would be great if you where to somehow remove photos that people have taken and just keep it to the google car and roads as trying to guess where on earth a random beach cove. is well thats not possible as far as i can tell.
Since moving to Android this is the nearest app to GeoGuessr I have found. The things I like about this app is the variety in countries it takes you to - it really makes you work hard to find where you are which is good. I also love the multiplayer function but there never seems to be anyone online - even on the World category - which is such a shame as I like the competitiveness. That is the only big downside alongside sometimes slowly loading maps. I really hope this app gets more popular as the multiplayer function is something that sets it apart from other apps.
It's okay. The game itself is decent, but the hints can only be bought through microtransations, and you have to pay to play multiplayer. Playing GeoGuessr on the phone's browser is a lot better than this.
similar to geoguessr by Google, but less definition so signs aren't readable and the movements are too big when you want small and not big enough when you want to move somewhere quicker down a road
