My son (age 5) loves this game! He was so frustrated not to be able to move to the next stage. When will it be released? I'm ready to pay already 😉
This app should be rated much higher. My children love it and they are learning very efficiently. I think people are rating it lowly due to the cost. I don't mind the cost at all. Well worth it!
It's fun but only up to a certain point. Got to learn the moves for Rook, Bishop, and Queen. Anything further and you have to agree to pay. It almost immediately grinds gameplay to a halt. This is worse than games like candy crush. CC will allow you to play the game while offering the pay option for more time or more boosts to help you complete game boards. You can still play CC without these things. Chess for kids teaches 3 lessons via short really fun games and then stops.
It's a good app , but not really cheap subscription considering that is for a very young kid. You can only play very few ,very basic games ( ...which are quite appealing for the kids, thou). Online tutorial+ parental guidance is still the best option at this time.
I made one year subscription recently on this application but now I am not having access to any material. Also it is again showing that I have to make subscription again.
Amazing and user friendly App! Kids enjoying a fun game while learning this beautiful game of Chess :)
It is really good for kids to learn the basics of chess but you need to premium pretty quickly. I tried to go premium as my daughter was really getting in to it but for some reason it just wont let me go premium! Pretty big flaw for an app trying to make money! Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.
My kid (12) loves it Due to Corona many after-school programs have shut down. We decided to go for the monthly payment. It's 15nis, which is WAY cheaper than what we usually pay for a program. This way we can cancel anytime. Every move and strategy has plenty of exercise. The drawings are cute. My son plays every day and enjoys it. I rather he used his screen time for this and not some mindless game.
Working like it should. Using the password from the school. Only downside so far is it doesn't remember the username and password (which are just random numbers) and I have to check for it every time.
Very cool app. My son loves it. Unfortunately it's a subscription based app. If it was a one time fee it would be fine, but an ongoing subscription for a preschooler to learn chess is ridiculous. I will be in uninstalling.
Great for children to learn chess. From very basic to advanced lessons is very helpful and fun to learn, especially for kids. One of the best chess app for kids. Thanks 👍
An amazing game. I like to play it myself as an adult although I installed it for my kid. My kids love it and It's an smart game, plus the way it teaches the l steps for the kids are so fun. There is a demo for each character and how to play, along with 9 exercises. I give 5 stars easily.
Seems I registered account to a wrong email (mistypo) and forgot a password. App allowed to make a payment to unverified account. After a while app asked for password and i cant login neither reset a password. Please help! Ready to provide details via email. Upd. Fixed very quickly
My 5 year old loved the approach, and so did I. In my opinion this is one of the best, if not THE best program to get youngsters involved with chess. I wish this would be available to regular users, instead of just the chess clubs or similar groups. Based on the demo, I can see myself paying for the full version, within reason. Keep up the great work, and please consider making it available to a broader client base.
I wanted to buy the full version instead of a subscription but cannot find how on the website like the developer comments say is possible to do. Not sure if it is a mistake or that the developer needs to reword "buy full version" to "subscribe to fill version" so that it is accurate.
Nice collection of puzzles for children(beginners). Very useful for improving chess level. There is also some story style behind, children like it. It would be nice if the story plot(non chess part) would be deeper and more interesting.
Great way to teach chess to kids. However since the last update the app is not running on my Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10.0 32GB. When I launch it,the screen goes black and nothing happens. Any idea what happened? Quite frustrating as I have live subscribtion...
Chessmatec. A FIDE Recommended site for training Beginners. I made the payment. Unfortunately, received a credit card error and there is hardly any Customer Support to reach out to for a solution. Received a call from Credit card monitoring cell for making this transaction and I confirmed the same. Don't know how FIDE approved a beta app. While I hope that I am not charged, I see that I am not the only Customer who has payment related issues.
I downloaded this game so my son could practice chess. I reported an issue with account and it was fixed the problem promptly.
The only thing to really not like is the lack of verbal explaination for the attended audience. The other thing which is only my opinion is that there's to many puzzles. Long after the idea is emphasized there's still plenty of puzzles.
Great app, but -2 stars for the subscription model. To be honest, I'd be quite happy paying a $30 one-time price to access the full content, but having to pay a subscription for continued access to the same content is just plain greedy. A shame, because it really is pedagogically very well thought out. The visual design is appealing to kids and the exercises build up gradually from simple to more complex. There's plenty of repetition of concepts which helps kids to grasp what is being taught, but without making it feel like a 'learning' exercise.
I payed for a premium account, but the app features are still locked. After reading other reviewes, I saw that I am not the only one who had this issue.
I love this game and my daughter too, but unfortunately it's not for home use. Very sad because I didn't find something else fascinating like this app for learning chess.
My daughter loves this app, however, I paid for the membership and we still don't have access to the locked levels. Very disappointed. Edit: the developer was very quick to respond and fix the issue, which is much appreciated! As i said my daughter loves this app! It's a great way to teach kids the game of chess!
Best app ever... I am very grateful... My 5 years daughter can develop as a chess player in a fun and didactic way.
The best app for kids, all my 4 children are addicted to this awesome game. Alex and Liam my twins finished it and now the are in love with chess. Suzi (5) and Elsa (4) the small girls are learning everyday something new. Do a favor, for the future of your children download this app!
Perfect fit for my 5 year old son. Best game I've come across. Unfortunately seems to be a demo version that only allows you to complete a few stages... Please please unlock all stages! :)
