It's so-so. It could have been better, and that's what I'm disappointed about. Game play is iffy, and while I love the Retro graphics of the Strategic screen it felt like there was very minimal effort put into art. The glaring aspect of pay-to-win is minimized by the amount of gifts that give to you, granted that's only if you play at a moderate pace (maybe a war a day). So it's all right, and until you get PVP into the game it's not going to be very competitive.
Great game, I love the mechanics and I could play this game for long periods of time. I've decided on 4 stars however because I feel there could be improvements, like possibly the ability to control single units at the same time or having actual terrain were units on a hill will have advantage over units at the base of the hill. Great game, keep up the good work.
Working on new models for different types of battles and such would definently help with graphics and such, like showing the actual number of people, and the weapons their actually holding. I think you should also make the game pause after a fight or other major action, in order to prevent your troops walking into another LOS of some other enemy and getting shot up. Another thing Id also like is a attachments for weapons that vary more than just red dot sight or something like that. Anyways, fun game to play, with just a few fixes in between, keep up the good work.
Everything about this game is great! I can't wait for multiplayer. The one thing with this game that really pisses me off is that it has an a w f u l time saving data after beating levels. It's crashed after completion of a mission so many times it's hard to count. And then the worst part is that I don't get credit for beating it, but I still end up losing ammunition? I get you need to implement a way to keep players from cheating and just killing the game when they lose, but you devs either gotta fix up the issue with freezes and crashes after completing levels, or make it to where as soon as you complete an objective, it saves, or perhaps automatically reroutes you back to the map and t h e n gives you your rewards. Gameplay and everything is swell. It's just overall performance that's this game's weak point.
Great game, which makes it a shame that it looks like a pay to win game at first glance. For the first few missions I was looking for a paywall, but after a while playing it, I haven't found any. Ammo is meant to be a limited resource. I don't think it should be used as fast as it is currently, but it is crucial to sneak up behind and around enemies in game. All other items can be bought without premium in game currency. My one major gripe is that movement should be ironed out.
Well, I was very hyped for this one and I am mostly satisfied except this one thing. When playing the game, it basically forces you to buy stuff. During wars and missions, you rely on ammunition. The problem later on is that each mission lets you take a certain ammount of ammo and whenever you attack, it uses ammo, and it uses a lot of ammo most of the times. Once you run out of ammo, you have to restart the mission and you lose the ammo you used up. Ammo crates are used midgame to restock but you may have to use them pretty often to win battles and to get these crates, you will have to use money or be lucky and find a ammo building midgame. Also it feels like microstransaction are heavilly pushed upon the player and it kinda ruins the experience. The gameplay is great by microstransactions ruin it.
it's a fun game and it truly takes getting used to if you don't strategize, for all those saying "its pay to win". it's not really! Im maxed rank on that game (which is lvl 65) and I haven't spent a single dime on it, yes there are more advantages if you do pay for some things in that game but sometimes it doesn't really provide much other than boost in certain events! I advise anyone to try it out and give it a shot, this one of the best solid mobile game in my opinion.
Love this game 1 of the best I've played in awhile though I am bummed for when it closed down. Though recently] I saw they had reopened so I downloaded the game again to find out it isn't so. :( Really wish it would come back or make it offline capable so I can continue my missions
Tldr: avoid like the plague, impossible to play with buying micro transactions every 10 minutes. Is the game play good? yes. Is everything else good? Hell no, to do a mission you need "bullets", this amount is basically the total amount attack units you have, on said missions you will have to eliminate many people, you have 200 bullets, each attack costs around 100, there are 6/8 targets.... It's a shame that this is 100% broke of a game by greed of capcom forcing a pay to play meta, no one wants to pay £1 per 5 minutes of game play....
I love the game, to it's very concept. I do, however, have a few concerns. One would be; if I hit retreat, it's impossible to re-engage without changing the path. Also, ammunition in battle is a problem. Efficiency has become the one stat that truly decides each firefight. If you could scale the efficiency down, say to 5-15 bullet requirement, and increase the amount of rounds either found in mission or given from the start, that could help. It would also be nice to be able to get even closer, while in "caution," than your max range, and get a surprise attack for the extra risk.
Really this game would get a higher review because I do enjoy the gameplay, it's simple but fun. However I immediately realized the game pushes you into micro-transactions. The first mission I did had a challenge to end a war in 2 days. Didn't sound too difficult the tutorial made it look easy (especially for an easy lvl 1 mission), but little did I know completing the challenge would be impossible without buying gold so I could refill ammo or get armour plates. Capcom has a decent game here. Stop with these in the face micro-transactions. I would buy your game but to hell if I'm gonna have another app that forces me to buy a premium currency to get the most out of it.
This game in itself is fantastic... for a little bit. However, after a bunch of missions you are forced into micro transactions. Without purchasing things with real money, you are screwed in no time. Such a shame to have a great game like this in the hands of greedy developers. Awesome game, but worthless unless you plow in a ton of real cash. The greed drips off it from all sides. Gutted, as I had looked forward to this game for quite some time, but it's ended up getting uninstalled after a bit.
I have really liked this game so far as there are not similar games available right now. Tactics and how you can do your missions are great and there are plenty of things on battlefield to spice things up. Permadeath of squad members is also great and there is some RNG with getting new weapons / mercenaries. Game is not p2w but you get some nicer things if you spend some money on it though. Capcom also seems to put out events / upgrades pretty often and new content also which is good. I have few personal gripes like how you are mostly forced to have certain skills for new mercs (some skill book that deletes skill would be nice addition) and some repetiness on missions. But overall i recommend this to everyone who likes some tactical gameplay and have always dreamt of having their own PMC :] I have now gotten ErrorCode: 0x0001 (Connection with the server failed. Please check the connection status and retry) for three days straight and because of this i have lost my daily gold which i have paid for etc. So i will have to put one star since i cannot even play the game.
A great puzzle game with a fairly deep military theme. Not what I expected going into it, especially with these reviews, but it's actually a very enjoyable but surprisingly complex and difficult game. I would give a fair chance and ignore these reviews. You have direct control over your squad, you choose when and what targets to shoot at. Ammount of ammo you use is based entirely on positioning, weapon choice, range and skill. Tanks can be an absolutely headache if you don't have rockets but they can be avoided.
One of the best mobile games I played, but now it's at least down able. Capcom, bring this game back!
The concept of this game is alright, but the execution is poorly done. First of all, the tutorial made me physically mad. Don't make me or any gamer go through a tutorial you can't skip for a game that a 5 year old could figure out. Secondly, why on Earth would you make the enemies the same color as the map? The only thing that makes them barely visible is their detection cone. Thirdly, the weapons and sounds are nice, along with the comic book style action cards, but why give so many weapons and item options if they aren't represented in game by any new graphics or sounds? This game could have been a text adventure and it would have been more enjoyable.
Ive been playing this game non-stop for a couple of days since i knew it had more to offer than just what was shown in the tutorial but there are a few things that bother me and makes the game frustrating, the first thing is that the game gives you a sense that its a cash grab game by the fact that when you run out of anything it throws a yes/no question at you seeing if you want to spend gold, even in the tutorial those options pop up and since people first started the game they dont have any gold to spend, another aspect that bothers me is that even if you have a full team of veterans or expert the health is still the same a team of all rookies which makes firefights in game seem a lot more stressful since you have the same chance at loosing one or more since damage done to units seem randomly chosen which makes people gravitate to have a more aggressive stealth play which seems to be the only way to progress through the game effectively and even if you get good at this stealth play as soon as the enemy receives elite units it makes the aggressive stealth strategy seem useless and something else about the elite units that bother me is that they will loosely follow you throughout the map nonstop until you take them out which is impossible to do affectively without using roughly 250 ammo in the sniper tower or without doing a surprise attack and then taking on the last two right after said surprise attack which you also have a very high chance at losing a unit or two even if you have level 3+ skills equiped to prevent losses in firefights and another thing that seems to be a problem is that skills dont seem to effect missions at all. Some recommendations i have is to change body armor and helmets to give health(or armor) instead of operability, operability on armor and helmets does not make much sense and another thing is to not have the elite units follow you constantly, instead you should have them move in the direction that they last saw you and scope out the area, this would make the game more playable and let you keep that stealth strategy, another recommendation i have is that you change up the stats of most weapons, most of the weapon's stats dont seem to follow their ranking since most weapons you unlock early game dont seem to be worth buying at all. These are the aspects that i see that are giving your game a 3 star(especially the cash grab part) and ive given you some recommendations that i believe would make the game entertaining and fair and i would greatly appreciate it if you pick up some of my ideas and respond to the complaints.
The game is very fun and has all the potential in the world. But as of right now the game forces you to either pay micro transactions or don't play well. The ammo is so easily spent during fights even at level 1, and the only way to get a decent ammount of back up ammo is to pay for it. Also later in the game you encounter mortar strikes which are completely overpowered. The circle of range is huge and if you stop for even a second (which you will your have to to fight enemies) they will drop right on top of you and they have a huge kill rate. They need to fix these problems quick.
I really want to keep playing, but the ammo shortage is a serious issue. Ammo is exactly what it sounds like, your troops literally use it to kill the enemy. The problem is if you run out you either can't enter a stage that requires a certain amount, or if you run out in the stage you're compromised. The game uses it as a way to limit progress unless you either "end your turn" which refills some ammo, or straight up use gold for another refill. It's a pretty obvious cash grab tactic. So even though the monetization ruins the game by the second stage, the actual gameplay is exactly what I like. It's strategic. You have permadeath of troops, you outfit gear and weapons very easily. Gameplay-wise I would pay for a complete game and no iap. Sadly another good game ruined by greed. I hope they fix this instead of ending the game. Such a huge waste of a rare genre on mobile.
Overall the gameplay could be good, I like the idea of managing your own PMC and training/equipping your operators with better gear an skills, and the overall feel of the gameplay. But... all of that is pretty much ruined by the fact that missions are rigged to push you to use microtransactions (e.g. having a mission spam tanks at you that you cant avoid because they're right on an obj. forcing you to use your at-rockets or call in airstrikes, or not giving you enough time or ammo to kill all enemies/destroy objectives forcing you to use airstrikes or at rockets or ammo refills, having surprise attacks from the back not work and use up all your ammo forcing you to use an ammo refill or use at rockets/airstrikes to finish off objectives, or spawning you across the map behind a mountain from your friendly convoy on some escort missions literally forcing you to use airstrikes to win otherwise the convoy will be killed by the time you even get halfway to defend them). I could go on with even more bs pushes towards microtransactions that the game has... More than likely gonna uninstall this game for now but will keep an eye open to see if there are any updates that fix the issues, then maybe I'll reinstall.
Not bad. Everyone complains about gold. Why not shoot from behind? And still, it's easy to get ammo. But one thing I can agree with everybody on in this case, is the fact you're obviously pushing transactions. You make everything cost a lot of gold or money. The gameplay honestly gets me hooked, but ammo runs down TOO fast, and as a result, we drain our gold. Please do something about this.
Quite a letdown, The gameplay is really dry and there is a lot to be desired. States that range is important but is solely determined by your frontman. It takes 20+ rounds to take out a guy by a 5 man squad by ex-military personnel with a sneak attack? high potential genre, terrible follow through. Also the Collect belongs feature is absolutely unnecessary and quite heartless the way that it is implemented and explained.
This game is great for a time, the graphics aren't exactly anything to write home about, and is very addicting. However, three conflicts in I noticed more and more it required items which cost actual money in order to complete the missions. If they were to implement a way to sneak up and disable tanks without paying for rockets, the game would be playable. However, as it is now, I cannot see myself paying for rockets just to play the game. As it is now, the game is impossible to play in any meaningful way without paying microtransactions. I understand it's a free game, and they need to earn money somehow, but when you take away the ability to play without paying, it's really just a glorified demo. Sad to say it, but I'm going to have to uninstall this game, even though I enjoyed it. If I wanted a money sink I'd just buy a car.
Less a simulation and more a strategy game. I couldn't get past the tutorial because of how spoon-fed I felt and how dragged out it was. The basic premise is that you command 5 troops and send them out to fight militia forces. Similar to how you would do things in MGSV:TPP, really, except it's really boring in all honesty. It's worth giving it a try, you might enjoy it, but I've seen people complaining about how necessary it is to buy in-game currency to progress
The game itself is OK. UI isn't the sleekest so takes a short while to figure it all and gameplay will get tediously dull after a few hours are logged. Worst part is you are smashed with obvious micro-transactions from the moment you exit the tutorial. If you're after a game to pour money into then this is for you. Otherwise, don't bother.
My review after playing as far as i could. Gave it a very open minded shot, but the blatant pay to win formula is very hard to ignore, it is balanced in such a way that IAPs are absolutely necessary to progress anywhere in this game. The actual gameplay is quite pleasant, and could potentially be an immensely fun strategy game. With a rebalance to the in game economy to skew microtransactions towards them being optional instead of, and i really do mean it when i say it, absolutely necessary, would be a solid step in the right direction. But in it's current state, unless your money to brain cell ratio is horribly out of balance, i would pass this and not look back. Hopefully Capcom recognizes this fatal flaw in a game that is actually very fun to play when you actually can play it without purchasing ammo every turn, and rebalance it. Would hate to see the actual gameplay be ruined by necessary IAPs. I would gladly pay for this game if it were premium if it meant the IAPs were completely and entirely optional. If any other consumer has read this far, well cheers, and have a great day.
I love it, I've seen a lot of comments from people talking about having to spend money because the game is too hard, I reached PMC level 4 in two hours, didn't fail a single mission besides the ones with the first tanks, and I've received 3 stars on every scenario so far. This game is not for people into this type of game genre. People who are used to this form of RTS games will be better at it and will have to spend little to no money on micro transactions.
It hurts, it really hurts that the dev's took this game down. It was possibly one of the greatest military games to ever hit the market. I miss it. If ur reading this, know that CAPCOM had a great opportunity, but blew it. Please, hear me and email them, let our voice be heard.
Ok a fun game, but its designed toward pushing real life currency is too aggressive imo. Some missions are near impossible without rockets or air support, which are limited per day unless you spend real money. The worse part though is there is no easy way to pause. I loaded the game up to play, the game selected a path, and I could not change the path or pause the game once I started, which left my group to continue walking through enemy fire, eventually causing the whole team to die. If there was a pause button I could at least figure out how to change the path. Also, having to click the old paths final destination to cancel it is bothersome, especially without a pause button. There should be another button than cancels current orders. Other aspects atent explained anywhere in the game. There is a button you can click for an online guide, but the guide hasn't been mad yet. There is a cool concept there, but the game is ultimately a shallow mobile game with little to entice you to continue playing. Missions can be fun, but often you'll find yourself losing due to time or because your teams can kill tanks without rockets, both which you can buy with real money. The app even insists you can save guys before they die by spending real money.
I used to play this game like 4 3 years ago and it was an ok game but now when I try to play it gives me a connection. Failed to the sever please fix
It isn't... Great. I plan to give it a little more time to see if it turns around but it's incredibly minimalistic, the aesthetics are just all around awful, the writing is horrid, and gameplay doesnt seem engaging at all. Having served in the Army theres a lot here that is pretty offensively bad lol this is the sorta stuff we would make fun of together, the cheesy military-wannabe entertainment pieces. Oh man it's just... No. Youre better than this Capcom.
Pretty solid game, a bit grindy but the squad management thing is something I've always liked. My main problem with it has nothing to do with the microtransactions, it's that when unlocking new weapons, you can get the same intel multiple times. If this gave a discount, I wouldn't have a problem with it so much, but it has also made me unable to unlock an entire branch on one of the weapon trees because I'm constantly unlocking weapons 4 ranks too high to buy. Needs some tweaking in that regard.
Fix the core mechanics and it's gonna be my favorite mobile game. Some attacks that should be sneak attacks aren't and you guys need to implement the ability to change your route without having to fight or arrive at a point, especially when you have militia ambushes pop up during movement. There needs to be a way to destroy tanks without premium items or any tanks on your side, especially with the ridiculous time requirements for bonus rewards. I'd also like to see weapon unlocks re-worked. You shouldn't just find random weapon information that you can't use until you RNG the lower tier weapons first. It's just a sloppy way to handle progression that doesn't make you want to work towards it.
The game has improved, but certain features are yet to be implemented. There is little to no variation in the environment, not enough combat animations, no designated anti tank weapons, same color schemes (blue, red, black, green), etc. The game has a lot of potential, but now I can't even update the game. It's off to a good start, just needs more to complement the game play
A solid tactical experience. One that harshly punishes mistakes, and is always challenging. But if you are willing to learn and apply logic to every action, then it is also very rewarding. It is definitely Not pay to win, it just expects a serious mindset. Every update to the game brings cool new features as well. This game deserves a much better rating on the playstore than it's gotten.
My absolute favorite mobile game that I wish I could still play it's one of the few that I didn't feel required me to pay to win if this came back on the market I would buy it. It had an element that no other game on the market had. I would do anything to play it again.
The game has solid gameplay for what it is. It is a strategy game where players fight as a PMC Company. You are tasked by the highest bidder to proceed in doing operations that will destroy the enemy. You point and drag to where you want your soldiers to go to. You can move in standard, cautiously, and stop modes. All of which has its merits. The enemy is AI controlled when playing with the war map and doing the operations. And in combatting the enemy, you have various options to where you can attack them head on or eliminate them stealthily through flanking or shooting them where their cone of vision is away. But ... the game needs a few tweaks to make it fair for all consumers. The game is very much forcing the player to take a very aggressive stance when doing the operations due to the timer being so short. It is best, that instead of rushing the player, they should do away with the timer as it is way too punishing for ALL players. And I reccommend instead, that 3-5 seperate enemies spawn throughout various points of the map already in search of the player's unit. They should be away from the player's unit about 10 tiles or more. Thus, the player is given a challenge that is fair and difficult at the same time where they endangered of being spotted by the enemy and going into a fireflight. That, or that the developers simply extend the operations' timer to about 2 - 5 minutes as the enemy number placed in the map is ludicrously impossible to dispatch and not have anyone die or losing the operation. And what the game should provide is a non-rocket option for the player's unit to eliminate armored personnel. I suggest, that the players is given detonation charges as a game mechanic. Where the player's unit has to be one tile away from enemy tanks in order to destroy them using the detonation charges. And that the player is incapable of using these detonation charges when under fire by the enemy tank. That way, players can have option to eliminate the tanks from afar using rockets. Or use detonation charges where they endangered of being spotted when eliminating tanks.
HMMM!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON CAPCOM? I Seriously, I've been waiting ages for this to be realised and what a disappointing start. After trying several times i can't get it to work. It takes quite awhile to get to the mission select screen, then upon selecting training mission (any one of the three can be selected to the same result). After appearing to load up the game screen then crashes and is unplayable. Come on guys a company that has been around as long as you guys should be better than this. I have bought your games right back when you were making Spectrum 48K sinclair games. I can now see most of the people reading this wondering what a 'Spectrum 48K' is. Please get your self together and sort this out. I await your reply guys.
A game with alot of potential, without the bugs it would be a solis 4.5/5, but the devs need to address some of the major problems that bug the game, such as your team's inability to engage enemies first using a car MG or the AI mortar spotting range (it should be shorter if your team is undetected). Another improvement the devs could do is localize the game for different countries, why is the loading screen in Japanese and everything else is in English? Offline capability is also desired.
I fell in love with the game as soon as it had released. I even got the privilege to beta test and I can say this game has a lot of properties of a great mobile game. The only issue are the ammo systems where you have to almost buy your way through missions, and ammo count. It's almost as if engagements are constantly in their favour, unless you are behind them. The overall is amazing just the ammo system is something I think it go without.
